moral cause and effect; only those who have attained NIRVANA,
or liberation from rebirth, can transcend karma.

10 years is one time frame. I often
think in terms of 40 years, where it will be in absolutely everything. I call
this "karma vertigo", which means that the generation of people who are alive
now have an exceptional responsibility -- that's the "karma" part -- because
we're creating all these layers of software whose ideas will be locked in.
The specific software may go away because of drift, but the ideas become locked
in. It's also called "vertigo" because when you realize how much responsibility
that implies, it's awesome. The people who are alive right now, involved
in high technology and especially the Internet,
are essentially writing a new constitution for the whole world. It will be in
effect for a long time. Its a profound responsibility many people don't realize
they have.
