Pleiades (plê´e-dêz´, plì´-) plural noun
1.Greek Mythology. The seven daughters of Atlas (internal linkMaia, Electra, Celaeno, Taygeta, Merope, Alcyone, and Sterope), who were metamorphosed into stars.
2.An open star cluster in the constellation Taurus, consisting of several hundred stars, of which six are visible to the naked eye.

Pleiades (mythology), in Greek mythology, seven daughters of Atlas. Pursued by the hunter internal linkOrion, they were rescued by the gods and then changed into doves. After their death, they became stars, but they are still pursued across the sky by the constellation Orion.

Pleiades (astronomy)

Pleiades (astronomy), in astronomy, loose cluster of 400 to 500 stars, about 415 light-years from the solar system in the direction of the constellation Taurus. The stars are about 1 light-year apart, on the average, and photographs show them to be surrounded by a nebulosity that shines by their reflected internal linklight. The cluster was named by the ancient Greeks after the "Seven Sisters" of mythology. Observers have claimed to be able to see with the naked eye as many as 12 of the stars in the cluster.

I believe that the Galactic alignment stimulates consciousness evolution on this planet, whether or not beings alive during the alignment era are aware of it happening. I also feel that it occurs every 26,000 years, but that this time around is the first time that humans are consciously aware of it. We may, in fact, be emerging into a galactic level of awareness this time around."
